    US Market- Wall Street stocks are winning-big league. But investors don't appear to be hitting an exhaustion point, with the Nasdaq Composite Index mounting so steady and so low-key an ascent into the stratosphere that Nasdaq 6,000 is legitimately on the table.

    NASDAQ Composite COMP, -0.08% closing off less than 0.1% at 5,814.90, the trend remained intact. The Dow DJIA, +0.04% the S&P 500 index SPX, -0.09% also have been hanging around record levels.

    US - U.S. stocks ended higher Thursday, boosted by a further rise by oil futures and strong economic data that helped offset uncertainty about the timing of the next Federal Reserve interest-rate hike. The S&P 500 SPX, +0.22% gained 5 points, or 0.2%, to 2,186, led by gains in energy and utilities shares. The Dow industrials DJIA, +0.13% climbed 22 points, or 0.2%, to 18,596. Wal-Mart Stores Inc. WMT, +1.88% and Chevron Corp. CVX, +1.30% were the two best performers on the blue-chip gauge. The Nasdaq Composite COMP, +0.22% added 12 points, or 0.2%, to 5,240. Oil futures CLU6, +0.25% stretched their winning streak to a sixth session, settling at their highest levels in two months.

    Tuesday the local bourse saw BSP rose 1.33 percent to K7.60. Meanwhile OSH continued to hold onto K17 per share level. InterOil concluded trading at US$32.29 a share on the on the New York Stock exchange.  In equities news, Kina Asset released its NTA for month of April at K1.13, Highlands Pacific was placed on trading halt pending announcement on an update on Frieda River.

    BSP was up 2% yesterday closing at K7.75 after opening the day higher at K7.80. Oil Search also gained ground closing at K17 with offers at K22 whilst it closed marginally flat on the ASX. CPL was the only stock moving backwards over small volumes. Others were mostly unchanged. Newcrest jumped 11.2% to A$22.06;  InterOil on the NYSE advanced to US$42.59 despite the ongoing concerns relating to board composition.

Others were stable while BSP slid 0.24 percent to K8.02 per share.  CPL was on the upside gaining 5.63 percent likewise OSH adding 47 toeas to end the day at K13.49 a share. In equities news, NGE announced some changes in the Management structure with Michael Arnett's role now being changed to Non-executive Chairman. NBO also reported its long term incentive plan.

In company announcements, MGO issued a final copy of the prospectus to raise C$20 million to fund the final stages of the feasibility studies as well as for permitting and other pre-construction expenditures relating to the Yandera project.

    In equities news, Oil Search Limited (OSH) released its 3Q 2015 results with a 3% decline in its total revenue compared to the previous corresponding period. OSH reported a total production of 7.42 million barrels of oil equivalent(mmboe) for the quarter. This represented the highest quarterly production in Oil Search's history.

    At the end of September 2015, Oil Search had cash of US$866.9 million and debt of US$4,285.9 million. Including US$750 million of undrawn corporate credit facilities, the Company had total liquidity of US$1,616.9 million.

    The local market was relatively calm Tuesday with movements recorded for BSP and CPL; BSP slid 0.8% to close at K7.44 while CPL closed 2.9% lower finishing the day at K1.35. OSH edged higher tracking the positive 3Q results.

    Pre-open has bids for BSP as high as K7.40 while offers for CCP are lined up at a low K2.30 per share. BSP buyback price is maintained at K7.50 while CCP have revised their price to K2.60.

    In other equities news, Marengo Mining has been suspended this week and will be delisted from quotation at close of this month. BSP will pay its interim dividend of 22.5 toea this Friday.

    In other developing stories, Santos Limited advises that on 20 October 2015 it received an indicative, highly conditional and non-binding proposal from Scepter Partners (Scepter), on behalf of the managed funds of its core stakeholders, to acquire all of Santos for a cash consideration of A$6.88 per share (Proposal).  The Santos Board has met to consider the Proposal and decided to reject it. The Proposal is considered to be opportunistic in nature and does not reflect the fair underlying asset value of the company.

    Equities news; Bank of South Pacific (BSP) has officially acquired Westpac Banking Corporation (Westpac) in Solomon Islands, positioning it as a regional leader in financial and banking services. The completion of sale between Westpac and BSP was done last Friday October 30th, after both parties obtained necessary statutory, regulatory and third party approvals in Solomon Islands. BSP Group Chief Executive Officer Robin Fleming explained that this acquisition is consistent with BSP's Pacific based expansion strategy, which has been maintained since 2006 when the bank acquired the Habib Bank in Fiji, National Bank of Solomon Islands in 2007 and the Colonial Groups of Companies (Banking & Life Businesses) in Fiji in 2009.

    Equities news, InterOil Corporation (IOC) will increase its interest in two key licenses following the withdrawal of Pacific Exploration & Production Corporation (from Papua New Guinea. The withdrawal of Pacific, formerly Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp., is consistent with its strategy of focusing on Latin America.  As a consequence of Pacific's withdrawal, InterOil will increase its interest in PRL 39, which contains the Triceratops discovery, and also in PPL 475, which contains the Raptor discovery. InterOil Chief Executive Dr Michael Hession thanked Pacific for its support as a joint venture partner and for its investment in the discovery and appraisal of resources in Papua New Guinea. InterOil now owns more than 78% of the Triceratops and Raptor discoveries.

    Equities news; Oil Search Limited (OSH) has signed two Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), the Biomass Independent Power Producer (IPP) PPA and Highlands IPP PPA, with Government-owned PNG Power Limited (PPL), as part of a long-term strategy to develop solutions for PNG's power sector.  These agreements follow the upgrade and provision of diesel to PPL's power plant in Tari in April 2015, allowing the commencement of continuous 24-hour power generation in the town, and the signing of a statement of intent with PPL on the next phases of the Ramu Power Project (RPP) in September 2015.

    Under the agreement for Biomass Power, PNG Biomass IPP (Oil Search 70%, Aligned Energy 30%) will use wood chips from new plantation trees grown and sustainably harvested in the Markham Valley, to provide low cost, reliable base load biomass power for the Lae region.  And for Highlands Power, Highlands IPP (Oil Search - 100%), has signed a PPA with PPL under which the Highlands IPP will construct an initial 2 MW gas-fired pilot power project located near Hides in the Hela Province, with potential to ramp up to 5 MW in the short-term and up to 65 MW by 2030.

Ms Fiona Harris who has advised that she will resign as a non-executive Director of Oil Search, effective immediately, in order to focus on full recovery from a recent health issue. Chairman Rick Lee acknowledged the valuable service Fiona has provided to the Board of Oil Search since her appointment as a Director in March, 2013.     Newcrest Mining Limited (NCM) yesterday announced that its reporting currency is to change from Australian dollars to US dollars, commencing with the 2016 financial year. The Company believes that the change in reporting currency to US dollars will enhance comparability with Newcrest's industry peer group, the majority of which report in US dollars. BSP saw some interest as bids lined up at K7.65 after strong earnings, likewise NBO advancing 2.04 percent to K25.00 a share.

The only negative news that had come from the Asian region was the that China reported a trade deficit of $31.5 billion in February, the deficit is one of China's worst in 20 years.

While in commodities, Gold dropped more than 5 percent on Wednesday and posted a loss for February, as Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke failed to offer an indication of further quantitative easing, and oil ended in positive grounds.
